Mono (120 ECTS credits)

The master's degree program in Psychology is a mono program and consists of three elements:

  1. The master's program (80 ECTS credits),
  2. The internship (10 ECTS credits),
  3. The master's thesis (30 ECTS credits),

The standard duration of study is usually two years or four semesters.

Master's degree program

The master's degree program covers

  • two topic areas. These are either similar in scope (30/30 ECTS credits) or one is studied in depth and the second is a supplementary area (45/15 ECTS).
  • Methodology courses, e.g. a diagnosis course, methodology seminars or Statistics III (10 ECTS credits)
  • The master's thesis (30 ECTS credits)

Internship

In an internship of a minimum of 300 hours, you have the opportunity to explore a psychological topic in depth, whether this is in a clinic, an organization or at the university.

Master's thesis

The master's thesis concludes the master's degree program whilst offering you the opportunity to explore a topic in depth, gather data and analyze this and compare the data obtained with the current status of research by referring to the extant literature.

Alternatively, you may participate in an existing research project, helping to gather data, which you then use to write your master's thesis.
