With its different study paths and attractive offer, the Faculty of Human Sciences draws approximately 2000 major and 900 minor students – among them also students from other universities. In addition, the Faculty also offers different postgraduate courses, partly in cooperation with other universities and faculties.
The common framework of the three institutes is an empirical, behavioral, and social scientific understanding in dealing with the research topic of the human being. The Faculty is equipped with a modern laboratory infrastructure. Where possible, the findings from research are directly incorporated into teaching. This enables in particular Master’s students to become involved in ongoing research projects. The Faculty is successful in the acquisition of competitive third-party funding, cooperates with other faculties of the University of Bern, participates in various research associations, and collaborates with partners from business, sports, and society.
